Our family has wanted to visit Niagara Falls for quite some time and we finally made it happen! This summer, the first stop on our family vacation was Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. It was well worth the wait and the Falls were really a spectacular sight to behold.
If you want to really experience Niagara Falls in all of its glory, seeing them with Hornblower Niagara Cruises is an absolute MUST. Hornblower Niagara Cruises is the official boat tour operator on the Canadian side of the Niagara River offering both daytime Voyage to the Falls Boat Tour AND nighttime Falls Fireworks cruises. There is nothing quite like getting up close and personal (not to mention super wet) with the Falls by boat. We did the Voyage to the Falls Tour and absolutely loved it.

Included with your admission ticket is access on the one-of-a-kind Hornblower Niagara Funicular with panoramic views of the world-famous Falls as you travel to Hornblower’s Riverside Patio and boarding area in the Great Gorge.

The Voyage to the Falls boats sail May 15-December 1 (closing date is weather permitted) daily rain or shine. All Voyage to the Falls Tour tickets are general admission, so it is very flexible and you can sail anytime on your reservation date. During peak hours, the boats will sail every 15 minutes. Everyone receives a red poncho before boarding, which you will definitely need!

Your 20 minute Voyage to the Falls on a state-of-the-art 700 passenger catamaran with a 360° viewing platform will take you up close and personal with the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls, and the breathtaking Niagara Gorge.

Niagara Falls is comprised of 3 waterfalls, but the Canadian Horseshoe Falls (pictured below) was by far the largest and most impressive (the other two are the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls – pictured above). The Horseshoe Falls are 180 feet (57 meters) high and allow 6 million cubic feet (168,000 cubic meters) of water over the crestline every minute during peak daytime tourist hours which is about a million bathtubs full of water every minute!

The boats do have dry viewing areas but hearing the thundering roar and feeling the amazing mist on your face as the boat gets as close as it’s allowed to the Horseshoe Falls is like no other experience.

And great news about those complimentary ponchos provided to you at the beginning of your tour – they are 100% recyclable!

We can’t recommend seeing Niagara Falls with Hornblower Niagara Cruises! Don’t miss Canada’s most memorable experience with Hornblower Niagara Cruises, the official and only boat tour operating in Niagara Falls, Canada.

*Thank you Hornblower Niagara Cruises for hosting our boat tour. As always, all opinions are my own.
